Sisters of Charity of St Mary
Mother Clarac Daycare

Loving the Lord, sharing this love with others, being the presence of God on Earth, bringing joy to others and spreading the peace of Christ: these are the blessings that a Sister of Charity of Saint Mary brings.

Sisters of Charity of Saint Mary

Who we are

The Community of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Mary was formed in 1871 under the aegis of Mother Marie Louise Clarac (1817-1887), in Turin, Italy. A woman with remarkable faith and a strong missionary spirit, Mother Marie Louise Angelica Clarac was attuned to the needs of the Church. Her solid Christian values were complemented by her ability to constantly adapt to an ever-changing society. It is these values and her spirit of openness upon which the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Mary was founded.

We are dedicated to educating youth from day care to high school on the path of Saint John Bosco. We are also caring for the elderly and the ill in hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities on the path of Saint Vincent de Paul.

We not only engage in a wide range of charitable endeavors in the local community, we are also involved in concrete missionary efforts overseas. It is through our work that our faith and our love of others are reinforced. We spread the message of Christ everywhere we are.

Philosophy

Mother Clarac Daycare gives children of two and three years old a warm living and a stimulating environment that promotes their full potential. The child will be learning through play and acquires all the skills required to succeed in school. This is a nonprofit daycare and does not discriminate in providing services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or marital status. Toilet training status is not an eligibility requirement for enrollment for our program as well.
